Let the Dothan Area Convention & Visitors Bureau take the “work” out of meetings. Dothan has a variety of hospitable meeting facilities, award-winning accommodations, great caterers, unique attractions, and wonderful recreational facilities – all with prices to fit most any budget. Allow our experienced staff to help you find the combination to make your meeting a success because "We’re out to win you over!"

ACCOMMODATIONS

The CVB will procure and present lodging proposals to meeting planners whose groups require 10 rooms or more. We can also arrange site inspections for the meeting planner or site selection committee.

PRE-CONVENTION

Our staff can act as meeting management consultants, when needed, to guide you through the meeting setup and execution process. Together we can design a plan that will lead you to a successful event for your organization.

HOUSING BUREAU

When three or more hotels are needed to house delegates, the CVB staff will serve as housing coordinators.


PUBLICITY

We will provide a sample press release and a list of contact information for local media outlets, as well as post a welcome to your group on the CVB marquee.


LEISURE ACTIVITIES

Explore the city and enjoy Dothan’s unique attractions during your free times. We will be happy to plan activities, outings and tours for your group. We will also arrange activities for your group’s spouses and guests while business meetings are taking place.  


OFFICIAL WELCOMES

We will be happy to request a group welcome from city officials on your behalf. These are usually arranged for banquets or assembly type meetings.  


NAME BADGES

We can provide you with lanyard name badges that your group can customize for your meeting attendees.  


WELCOME BAGS

We provide welcome bags that include a Visitors’ Guide, Dining Guide, one-page map, packet of peanuts and a small promotional item. We will be happy to add specialty brochures or items provided by the planning committee upon your request. We can also add a welcome letter addressed to the group from the mayor to each delegate’s bag.


REGISTRATION ASSISTANCE

The CVB has a special volunteer group, the "Dothan Diplomats," who donate their time to assist with hospitality functions for visiting groups. Requests for their assistance may be made through the CVB during the meeting planning process.
